Forty square miles of unrivalled natural beauty, the island is renowned for its pure water, cooling Trade Winds, beautiful beaches, unspoilt nature trails and, above all, its friendly people. A recent feature is the new dome of the Soufriere Hills Volcano which can be viewed from the Montserrat Volcano Observatory. The island’s own mini-Pompeii, the half buried capital Plymouth, can be seen both from the island and the sea.
The climate is tropical with low humidity and little variation between winter and summer, with an average day-time temperature of 30°C. Life-giving showers and cooling breezes keep the island lush and green and the air clear.
The currency is Eastern Caribbean dollars, but US dollars are accepted, as are most credit cards.
With access by either air or ferry this peaceful little island offers the ideal environment for a truly memorable vacation where you’re made to feel a traveler rather than a tourist.
